From May 20th-24th, 2019, C&G will be in residence at A Noise Within to keep developing Pequeños Sueños — our original project about monsters and machismo.
From playwright, Joseph Baca: “Mexicans know all too well the tales of La Llorona, La Chupacabra, and especially El Cucuy. But what about the monsters they don’t warn you about? The monsters that perhaps they’re afraid to admit are parts of themselves.”
Featuring an ensemble of all Latinx theatre-makers, Pequeños Sueños is Coin & Ghost’s new Mexican folklore, inspired by the stories we’ve heard and the stories we haven’t.

Last weekend, Coin & Ghost was one of eight companies who participated in the Los Angeles Immersive Invitational. Within 48 hours, we received our randomized performance criteria, created an original 12-minute immersive experience, and performed it TWENTY-FOUR TIMES for audiences. 😮💨

Obviously, Coin & Ghost used that time to create a pantsless murder mystery. The plot twist? Our project, “The Butler Did It,” was named RUNNER UP for the Invitational’s Grand Prize (as voted upon by a panel of immersive theatre and themed entertainment experts)! But as we like to say: we don’t do theatre for the awards — we do it exclusively for the money.
