Alex Demers


Alex Demers (Doc) is honored to return to the ranks of the Coin & Ghost team to work on such an important new work. A regular player in LA’s Immersive-Theater worlds, Demers has performed with The Speakeasy Society (THE JOHNNY CYCLE, WILD PARTY;) Delusion, (BLUE BLADE, ALT/DEL), The Halogen Co. (ONE EXIT), Spy Brunch LLC. (COLD WAR LOUNGE). Alex also recently played FINNOC, the lead in a AMAZON/LEGENDARY mini-series set in the world of CARNIVAL ROW. MFA CalArts. @dumois

Cecilia Fairchild


Cecilia Fairchild was conceived on a moving train in a thunderstorm outside Marfa, Texas. She is a Los Angeles native, a 7th generation Californian, and she holds her MFA in acting from USC. Her play FORTUNATE SON, an adaptation of Goethe’s FAUST set in post-Vietnam New Orleans, premiered with Coin & Ghost as its inaugural production. Her short plays, BEST OF MY LOVE and FAMILY TRADITION, premiered at the Los Angeles LGBT Center in 2017. Recent performances in LA include Sam Shepard and Patti Smith’s COWBOY MOUTH at Thymele Arts and Shepard’s BACK BOG BEAST BAIT at The YARD Theater. She dances at Jumbo’s Clown Room.

Julián Juaquín


Colombian but raised in New York, Julián Juaquín  cultivated his art of acting in the Big Apple, studying at the Stella Adler studio, The Labyrinth company and performing on stage with the Harold Clurman theater. After receiving his Masters Degree in Fine Arts at The University Of Southern California , Julián had the opportunity to shake up the theater world in Los  Angeles. He worked on the 2019 production of HOW WE’RE DIFFERENT FROM ANIMALS with the Elan ensemble which would win an Ovation Award for Best Adapted Play and be nominated in 8 more categories. Julián continues his investigation of acting with Coin & Ghost for the second time after working on their previous play BAD HAMLET. Shortly after this production, Julián made an appearance on NBC’s new show, Stumptown. Also, he recently just finished playing Richard Alves in an upcoming film called Respite directed by Saro Varjabedian. Jumping into different genres of the craft and continuing to examine the human condition, Julián continues to make his presence felt in the art of acting.

Stan Mayer


Stan Mayer is from Cleveland, Ohio, raised by a blue-collar engineer and a Catholic school teacher. A former U.S. Marine and Intelligence Officer, Mayer served five deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan. Mayer has been putting up theater in Los Angeles since 2016, shortly after he got out of the military. His recent projects include Sam Shepard’s BACK BOG BEAST BAIT at The Yard Theater, Geraldine Inoa’s SCRAPS at The Matrix Theatre, and a reading of his play ODYSSEUS AT TEMECULA at The Met Theater in L.A.

Abe Martell


A mixed race actor born and raised in El Paso Texas/Juarez-Mexico. Abe eventually moved to Albuquerque NM, where he got his start, working in English and Spanish language Films & Theatre while paying the bills with his work in Psychiatric Research. Abe left New Mexico after being awarded a scholarship to the USC School of Dramatic Arts, graduating with his MFA in 2016. This show is dedicated to all the guys we grew up with and saw leave. Jessica Rosilyn


Jessica a film/tv and theatre actress based in Los Angeles, CA. Rosilyn is a graduate of the MFA Acting program at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts). Her recent projects include a production of IS GOD IS presented at Mixed Blood Theatre in Minneapolis and THE KANSAS COLLECTION with LA based immersive company, THE SPEAKEASY SOCIETY. She can also be seen on such tv series as SHAMELESS and START UP, as well as the movie JINN. She is honored to be a newcomer to the COIN & GHOST family. With an Iraq War Vet as an older brother and Airman for a father, Rosilyn grew up as a military brat and is thrilled to have the opportunity to create with other Vets and be a part of telling this story.

Hannah Trujillo


Hannah Trujillo is an actor, writer and director based in LA. She received her BFA from the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts). Previous credits include MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR at The Old Globe, THE WORDS OF OTHERS (PALABRAS AJENAS) at REDCAT, DURANGO66 with Teatro Linea de Sombra, and WELCOME BACK WOODCHUCKS with Shinbone Theatre Co., and BAD HAMLET with Coin & Ghost. She is so very happy and grateful to be working with C&G again, especially with this group of phenomenal artists.


Zachary Reeve Davidson

Director, Choreographer, & Artistic Director

Zachary Reeve Davidson is the Founding Artistic Director of Coin & Ghost, with whom he remixes mythology and pursues eccentricity. These remixes have included Shakespeare, Greek tragedy, Mexican folklore, German legend, French opera, and American history (to name a few), and LA Weekly recently called the company’s work “uniquely entertaining” and “innovative in a few different ways.” As an arts administrator and creative consultant, Davidson has worked with non-profits throughout Los Angeles and around the country, including A Noise Within, Not Man Apart, Heidi Duckler Dance, Conga Kids, The WeHo Dance Festival, Southern Colorado Repertory Theatre, Invertigo Dance Theatre, AdlerImprov and more. Davidson produced over 125 projects as a curator for the CalArts New Works Festival, was a Young Playwright’s National Finalist for his play Amsterdam; or Loving George, and served as Shakespeare Santa Monica’s youngest-ever Associate Artistic Director. He was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, and is a graduate of the CalArts BFA Acting program.

Elisa Rosin

Scenic Designer, Choreographer, & Associate Artistic Director

Born in Seattle into a family of theatre gypsies, Elisa Rosin is an actor, vocalist, composer, and teaching artist. She is a founding member of Coin & Ghost, where she co-created and performed in FORTUNATE SON, OLYMPIA, TOO FAUST TOO FURIOUS, and LEAVES. Elisa has also performed at RedCat, The Odyssey, Seattle Opera, and the Fifth Avenue Theatre, as well as with LA-favorite companies like Salty Shakespeare, Not Man Apart-Physical Theatre Ensemble, The Speakeasy Society, and Shakespeare Santa Monica. She composed part of the original score for NMA’s PARADISE LOST: RECLAIMING DESTINY, and produces/performs in burlesque shows under the stage name, “Cookie St. Cream.” Elisa studied vocal performance at California Institute of the Arts

Niki Armato

Assistant Director, Stage Manager, & Production Manager

Niki Armato continues to be in awe of the level of work and the amount of heart that Coin & Ghost puts on the table, and is absolutely enamoured with the process, the people, and the productions. Gratitude abounds. Previous credits include: LOVE IS ANOTHER COUNTRY (Coin & Ghost/VS) CAL IN CAMO (Red Dog Squadron/VS), SEX by Mae West(Buzzworks/The Hudson), the critically-acclaimed LOVE IS A DIRTY WORD, Donald Margulies’ THE MODEL APARTMENT (Geffen Playhouse) and AJAX IN IRAQ (NMA)–further credits at nikiarmato.com. Prior to LA they have worked in theaters throughout Pittsburgh and NYC for the last 15 years, doing all manners of things–but mostly, spreading love and sprinkling fairy dust in the hopes of creating art that will change the world. In the pursuit of that particular dream, Niki is the Production Manager/Director of Chaos/Tech Wizard of Coin & Ghost Theatre Company. They are also aspiring to climb into the Director’s chair — so look for that soon!

Joseph "Sloe" Slawinski

Sound Designer

Sloe is a multi-award winning sound designer. He recently received the 2018 Ovation Award for his sound design of the play BURNERS. He is the resident sound designer for The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles and Theatre Forty in Beverly Hills. His sound designs include GOD LOOKED AWAY starring Judith Light and Al Pacino and REDEMPTION OF A DOG starring Snoop Dogg. Sloe is also a veteran, having served six years in the United States Navy in the Nuclear Power Division. He would like to thank the incredible and amazing Gabrieal Griego for her continuous support during all of his creative endeavors. He is proud to be part of this great production.

Athena Lawton

Costume Designer

Hannah Athena Lawton (Costume Designer) is a force of nature who designs costumes for fun, for sport, and for profit. She is a gentleman and a scholar. A graduate of CalArts with a BFA in Costume Design, she is best known for her work on American Career College commercials, music videos you’ve never seen, three movies that haven’t come out yet, and indie theater productions that usually involve gender-bending. Kendall Johnson

Producer & Associate Artistic Director

Kendall grew up in Chicago, where he first fell in love with acting. He started out as a junior in college performing in small productions and that love grew as he attended USC Master’s of Fine Arts for Acting. Completing that program and doing a three play rotation repertory is one of his greatest accomplishments.

Since graduating from USC, he has worked with Black & Sexy TV on their webseries Sexless, performed in the Royal Shakespeare Company production of Dunsinane, done two shows with the Not Man Apart Physical Theatre Ensemble, and performed The Tempest at Off Square Theatre in Jackson, WY.

Joey Guthman

Lighting Designer

Joey is a nationally recognized lighting designer, whose work has been seen up and down both coasts. Joseph Baca

Producer & Director of Community Engagement

Joseph Baca is a Los Angeles native who left the incessantly effervescent SoCal sun to pursue his undergraduate studies at Williams College in Western Massachusetts. Little did he know, he’d be trading ten months of summer for ten months of winter, so he studied abroad for two semesters in Italy at the Accademia dell’Arte studying mask and physical theatre, and one summer in Japan studying bunraku puppetry. Since acquiring his Bachelor’s in Theatre, he has studied and performed under companies such as Double Edge Theatre, the Suzuki company of Toga, Not Man Apart, and the Idiot Workshop. Now re-based in Los Angeles he uses his talents installing art exhibits in museums and galleries all across the city and teaching 5th graders the joy of ballroom dance under the non-profit organization Conga Kids. He’s ecstatic to be joining the C&G team to help bring fresh and accessible theatre to the LA community. Coin & Ghost credits: Fortunate Son: a Faust Myth(Fate).

Marguerite French

Producer & Managing Director

Marguerite French is a recent graduate of the Interdisciplinary MFA program at UCLA’s school of Theatre, Film, and Television, where she co-produced and starred in the Rabbit Bandini film, Death, and directed the short, Intimate Beauty. Her first role after graduation was “Alison” in Francis Ford Coppola’s Distant Vision. As the 2015 Cirque du Soleil Directing/Marketing Fellow, she directed a commercial for the Cirque production “Baz”, helped conceive the social media campaign #cirqueway, and learned to hang by her ankles from the aerial tissu. As an actor in New York, she studied with JoAnne Akalaitis, Jim Calder, Wynn Handman, and William Esper. She is a proud alumnus of Bard College. Matt King


Matthew David King (Stan):  Matt is honored to make his Coin & Ghost debut in MAMA MAMA. A proud graduate of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, New York, he also holds a BA in Psychology and an MFA in Screenwriting. Outside the theatre and off-screen, this former Army Medic is a grateful father, an ardent adventurer, and an incorrigible rebel. Matt co-directed the suicide-prevention documentary Project 22 (PBS) and continues to advocate for post-traumatic growth.
