Loosely based on the story of Tristan and Isolde, L E A V E S is a short, physical exploration of the oldest romantic tragedy in the world.
C&G’s version of this story follows a young woman (“Dot”) and a young man (“Dash”) through their journey together — from waking up, to discovering each other, falling in love, being separated, individually crumbling, and finally, the nothingness that inevitably accompanies longing — the empty part of the heart.
Originally workshopped in November 2016 as a part of Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre’s performance series, “The Royal We.”

Last weekend, Coin & Ghost was one of eight companies who participated in the Los Angeles Immersive Invitational. Within 48 hours, we received our randomized performance criteria, created an original 12-minute immersive experience, and performed it TWENTY-FOUR TIMES for audiences. 😮💨

Obviously, Coin & Ghost used that time to create a pantsless murder mystery. The plot twist? Our project, “The Butler Did It,” was named RUNNER UP for the Invitational’s Grand Prize (as voted upon by a panel of immersive theatre and themed entertainment experts)! But as we like to say: we don’t do theatre for the awards — we do it exclusively for the money.
